Chapter Membership

USGBC chapter members are passionate, committed volunteers who take USGBC's mission straight to the town and city halls, civic groups, media and local businesses. They help make green building a reality through local education, advocacy and outreach.

· Regular Chapter Membership: $70 / year

· National Member Firm Employee Chapter Membership: $50 / year

· Emerging Professional Membership: $35 / year

At this time, all chapter memberships are processed through National USGBC. The instructions below describe how to join our chapter.

1. Follow the link below to be redirected to the National USGBC website. https://www.usgbc.org/store/chapterregistration.aspx?PageID=1809&CMSPageID=1525

(You'll have to create a free username and password to log-on to the site if you haven’t already).

2. Then, you'll be redirected to the membership section.

3. Select "Nebraska Flatwater Chapter" and your membership type.

4. Click "Continue to Checkout" and follow the instructions.

What's the difference between Company Membership and Chapter Membership?
USGBC national membership is corporate in nature, while individuals are encouraged to join their local USGBC chapters. Chapter membership allows any individual, regardless of whether or not his or her company is a national member, to participate in the chapter and get involved in their community to support local green building efforts.

Nebraska's chapter is called USGBC Nebraska Flatwater... and you're on our website now.

USGBC Chapters across the country provide on-the-ground resources and education for green building practitioners. Meet green building experts in your area, help accelerate the adoption of green building at a local level, and tour green building projects by joining our chapter.

What's an Emerging Professional?

These members are generally individuals under 30 years old who have been out of school and working in the green building industry for no more than 5 years.
